Books I like
Ah, books. It's always great to read and get lost in a world that is very unlike your own.
Some books are decent, others hard to put down even while the world burns around you!
I'm gonna share with you some of these books that have left me pondering and unable to put them down.
I'm also gonna be updating this blog whenever I find a new book I really like!
I was always a fan of Rick Riordan, but 2 of his book trilogies are the best series I've read so far.
Before you ask, one of them is not Percy Jackson :)
Magnus Chase
I've read all 3 books and lemme tell you, it's a goldmine and definitely worth your time!
It's a story about a boy named, well, Magnus Chase and his adventures after dying and going to the afterlife.
It got me interested in Norse mythology with an appealing story, a capability for imagination and so many unique plot points.
The only feedback I have is that I really wish it didn't just stop at a trilogy, I need more Magnus Chase books :P
I could go on forever but here's the second one...
The Kane Chronicles
I've read this trilogy too and it's really very thrilling!
Somehow, the emotions that this story gives seem more extreme than Magnus Chase, atleast to me.
It also got me interested in a mythology - Egyptian. I seem to have a knack for liking Rick Riordan's mythology books.
This story is about 2 siblings Carter Kane and Sadie Kane whose life drastically changes after their father turns into a host for an Egyptian god!
It's definitely worth your time to read this series.
Now for the others:
The Famous Five
This is a series of 21 books by the evergreen Enid Blyton.
It has a magical way of transporting you back in time with 4 children and their beloved dog and to live adventures you could only ever dream of as a child!
I haven't read all 21 books (yet) but I've read quite a few, and all of them have a unique way of letting me escape to a completely different world. It's great!
If you're looking for a long, adventurous book series, this is the one for you.
If you want to read all of them you will have to invest time, but I assure you it's worth it.
Harry Potter
Do I even need to say anything? This is a must-read!
The huge magical world, all the lore of Hogwarts the wizarding school, the books, the characters, everything is perfectly designed.
I've read all the books and I'm sure I'll read them all again! They're very re-readable so whenever you're bored you can pick up a Harry Potter book and submerge your boredom to the bottom of your mind.
It's iconic, very famous and unique and there's a whole huge fandom to invest yourself in, if that's your thing!
I'm sure you'll love it.
